Petit Socco (little Square) is a square in the Medina of Tangier, known locally as ‘’Souk Dakhli”. The square was the destination of so many people who came for shopping, and thus, made the area famous and rich in the ninetheenth century. It was also a market for European traders. A century later, traders, businessmen, bankers… departed the square as did most of the population and settled down in “The New City”. Nowadays, it’s a touristic destination visited by those keen on history.
