Marrakesh Museum is situated in the heart of Marrakesh, near Ben Youssef Madrasa. The museum was an old palace built at the end of the 19th century and was neglected and locked up for years until it was made into a museum in 1997. The walls and floor are themselves are a museum, for they characterize the features of traditional and modern architecture at the same time, beside old books, pottery, and coins. Just being within its walls, you realize that you’re standing in a place that used to be such a crucial field for many historical events.
