The name ‘’Azrou’’ is a Berber word meaning ‘rock’. It is a Berber town situated between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas, which makes it of a remarkable location. It’s only several kilometers from Ifran. The area is known for its rich vegetaion, like oak, cedar, cherry and apple trees, and special fauna represented in a species of butterflies which is almost not found in any other place in the world.

Azrou derives its name just from near, from nearby surroundings and mother nature. The mountains covered with green forests and crowned with snow in winter are such an exciting scenery. The town is a sensationally touristic destination, for it has so much to offer.
