Koutoubia Mosque
The Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh which was built in the late 12th century. Its name comes from the Arabic word for "book", because there was a book market nearby.
The minaret tower of Koutoubia mosque is 77 meters (253 ft) in height, and is designed in almohad style and was constructed of sandstone.
