Merzouga is a small town in southeastern Morocco. It’s known worldwide for its sand dunes, or what is called Erg Chebbi, a high and vast saharan erg. Merzouga is the destination of many tourists who wish to try something new apart from beaches, green places and those places to which they bear resemblance. The Erg Chebbi offers fascinating panorama of both sand dunes and adobe houses, which is something you can’t see everywhere. Sunset in Merzouga seems to be quite different from that you can see in any other place around the world, especially that everyone agrees that it is characterized by wisdom and serenity. As it comes closer to sunset, sun appears to the beholder tired of its daily routine, and its color increasingly unites with the color of the sand as it dives deeper, before a set of sun rays slanted towards redness scatter from the atmosphere, forming a soft dusk. Just then, Merzouga turns into one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
